8. REGAINING YOUR HEALTH CAN BE FINANCIALLY CHALLANGING TO SOME PATIENTS

Your health insurance will cover a portion of the services we offer. Depending on your health needs you will likely require products and services that are not covered by your insurance plan. Before joining our practice please understand what your insurance covers and what it does not cover.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU:

Depending on the complexity of your individual health concerns, you may need to budget an average of $200-$400/month on labs and supplements over the first 6-12 months. For more complex cases, like chronic fatigue, autoimmune disease, and gastrointestinal illnesses you may need to budget this amount for a longer period of time. Your insurance may also require a copay for eachcomsult and coinsurance. We do not specialize in the details of each and every plan so please contact your insurance company to learn more. When needed, we can work with a smaller budget for supplements and labs.

Statistically Sugar / Carb Free

Because we are mind/body health optimizers; we are also anti-sugar. We believe sugar is public health enemy #1. In our view and the view of the modern nutritional science world, sugar is the leading cause of most modern chronic diseases, including the explosion of metabolic diseases (there are 90 million pre-diabetics in the U.S.). Simply, sugar has no place in health/life optimization.

Our wines are lab tested for fructose and glucose, the two sugars found in wine. All of our wines are <1g/L of total sugars, statistically sugar free. These low/no sugars are naturally occurring, nothing added or taken away.

Ethyl alcohol is carb free. Carbs in wine come from the sugar content, as our wines are statistically sugar free, they are also statistically carb free.

Diet Friendly

Our wines are completely friendly to Paleo, Low/Slow Carb, Sugar Free, Carb Free and Ketogenic Nutritional programs.

Because our wines are naturally lower in alcohol and statistically sugar/carb free, they are completely diet friendly; including even Ketogenic.

We find no impact from our wines on blood sugar and no compression impact to ketone (BHB) production. We use blood analysis for monitoring both, the most accurate method for testing.

Located in Astoria's Historic Sanborn Building. The Southwest corner being dubbed "Astoria's Underground" by the late, great Michael Foster. His vision of an old town Astoria was brought to life in the downstairs. All businesses are reminiscent of the famous buildings in Astoria. We even have a jail cell to lock up shoplifters! Just kidding, kind of. There is handicap access with an Elevator on 10th street using the glass door titled "Secret Gallery". You can find me that way, or walk down the wooden stairs on the corner of 10th & Marine, or my suggestion is to open the glass door to my Healing Solarium and descend the Spiral Stairs to the Apothecary. However you get to me, I promise it will be a fun destination! And check out my neighbors while you're down here!
